Skyblue is a Timpenny 670 (22ft) trailer-sailer, sail number 3099 and hull LU292, built on Raymond Island by Peter Morrison around 1983. In Peter’s ownership, and originally named “Mr Moo”, she was a Timpenny Association Club champion. Several years later she ended up at Cowes Yacht Club on Phillip Island, where she also changed hands a few times before present owners David and Cathy Peck purchased her in 2015. Since then, she has mainly been sailed competitively on Westernport Bay or cruised the Gippsland Lakes from her berth at Captain’s Cove in Paynesville. For overnight mooring she has a pop-top cabin roof and boom tent. When the wind isn’t blowing her Mercury 9.9HP 4-stroke outboard pushes her along quite nicely.
