‘The Maryanne is a rare 1955 Jaguar-powered hydroplane built in South Australia. A racing champion in the 1960s, it was later restored by the builder’s family. Now fully operational, it remains a cherished heirloom and historic vessel—one of only two Jaguar-powered hydroplanes known to exist. Maryanne is not a tiny unit, at 17 feet long. She is quite lively to drive, and with Ray behind the wheel she achieved a number of awards and records, including:
-
1958 Port Adelaide Regatta
-
1958 RSL Cup
-
1957, 1958 & 1959 Bradley Trophy Hydroplane Championship, Mannum
