Kelpie is a 15 ft gaff-rigged wooden PocketShip, an American compact cruising sailboat designed by John C. Harris of Chesapeake Light Craft (CLC) and first introduced in 2008. The PocketShip design draws strongly on the form of 19th-century British pilot cutters, combining a stout, traditional appearance with modern, efficient, home-buildable construction methods. Kelpie was built by Graham Mellor in Queensland in 2013 and is a rare example of the design in Australia. She is now sailed primarily from Williamstown Sailing Club by Peter Murphy, originally from Scotland.
