Built in 1908 by Chris Grohneit for A.J. Gilsenan. Originally built as an open boat (as seen today), by 1913 stanchions and roof was added. Jeanara won best decorated boat in the 1913 Paynesville Regatta. By the 1920s the front section was enclosed for better weather protection. Jeanara was regularly used for shooting parties at various locations within the Gippsland Lakes in the 1920s and 1930s. In the early 1980s Jeanara was converted to a half cabin cruiser by Ced Reynolds for Ian Freeman. In 2004 the vessel was restored to her original "as built" appearance by James Frecheville for Michael Leaney who is the present owner.
