Ghillie Callum is a glued lapstrake Shearwater dinghy designed by Iain Oughtred.  She is planked with Gaboon/Okume marine plywood and solid timbers of Huon Pine, Australian Red Cedar and Meranti.
She is Gunter rigged with Sitka Spruce spars and sails by Steve Walker.  
Launched in 2013, Ghillie Callum was constructed in St Andrew’s Beach, Victoria over a two-year period by filmmaker Andy McIntyre as part of a documentary project celebrating the life and work of Iain Oughtred. The film “Bonnie Wee Boats - the Iain Oughtred Story” premiered in Edinburgh during the 2025 Fringe Festival and will be screened during the 2026 Paynesville Classic Boat Rally.
