‘Altair’ is a Hans Christian 43 Telstar model, and was built in 1989 for a Swedish entrepreneur, Jonas Brandstrom, who sailed her around the lakes of Sweden and the North Sea for several years.
The next owners from Belgium sailed her from the busy waters of the Netherlands to the south to the bay of Biscayne and the Med.
The next owner Francis Lanaud of France , in 2019 did a big refit on Altair to solo sail her around the world ! By the time he reached Tahiti he had enough and put on the market .
The current owner bought Altair off Francis in New Caledonia in 2022 , since then Altair has travelled over another 10,000 nautical miles
